Zombie (1979) LE Small Hardbox - USED DVD Region 2

A skipperless sailing yacht is boarded by the New York Coast Guard on Hudson Bay. While searching the ship, the officers come across severed body parts and are ambushed by a foul-looking figure, against whom they can only defend themselves by shooting. The journalist Peter West, curious about the strange occurrences, begins to investigate and meets Ann Bowles, daughter of the yacht owner. Her father last worked on the Caribbean island of Matul. When they arrive there, they are informed of Ann's father's death by Dr. Menard, Ann's father's former colleague. But no illness is responsible for the many deaths on the island: a voodoo curse of the natives causes the dead to rise from their graves as zombies - their only motivation is the greed for human flesh. Each new victim causes the number of zombies to rise and Peter and Ann must ask themselves whether they can still stem the ever-growing flood...
