An old farmhouse in rural Oregon goes up in flames, the
distraught Kristen is arrested by the police as an arsonist
and taken to the psychiatric ward of North Bend Hospital
. In the closed ward she meets a group
of young girls and comes to the room of a recently murdered
inmate. There she has a sinister encounter during the night, but the
other patients stubbornly remain silent about what is happening in the
clinic. But then the sinister visitor becomes increasingly active,
and one girl after another falls victim to him, with everything
pointing to a former patient named Alice. But is the perpetrator
really a ghost or does the doctor Dr. Stringer perhaps know more than
he is letting on? It is no surprise that Kristen does everything she can
to escape from the institution.
