After the dramatic death of Kurt Baumer, his wife Lisa seems to have everything she needs. The sum of one million dollars from her husband's life insurance is to be paid out to her as soon as possible. But her happiness does not last long... The brutal murder of Lisa's drug-addicted ex-lover forces the young widow to flee to Athens. The insurance company has already assigned its best man, Peter Lynch, to the case and suspects that Lisa's escape is a planned attempt at fraud. The suspicion is confirmed when Kurt Baumer's wife from his first marriage turns up in Athens and accuses Lisa of the planned murder - also with the ulterior motive of pocketing the money. But that's not all, a murderer with black gloves and a deadly knife gradually decimates everyone around Lisa Baumer.
