Former NASA scientist Dr. DeMarco (John Carradine) is hired by a secret government unit to develop a deadly weapon. DeMarco, aided by his unscrupulous assistant Franchot, begins with cruel experiments. He uses corpses of criminals and scientists to turn them into scary zombie robots to transform what he calls "astro-zombies". Meanwhile, a team of government agents and scientists, including the experienced Professor Holman, are sent to the aware of DeMarco's murderous machinations. They are desperately trying to find out the identity of the murderer and the reasons to uncover the truth behind the cruel acts.
As the astro-zombies claim more and more victims, the race against time becomes more and more urgent.
