Hohenschwand Castle harbors a gruesome secret: ostensibly a mental institution, this place disguises itself as a hell on earth, where women with broken souls, scarred by incest, ruined marriages, and unbridled desire, are held captive. But the true horrors only begin when night falls. A demented sex offender plays his murderous game, seduced by the sight of trembling, exposed bodies, only to finally silence his victims in a bloody finale. 

In what is arguably one of his most eccentric roles, acting legend Klaus Kinski delivers a performance that shines with genius and depth. A feverish nightmare that lends the Italian giallo a touch of depravity.
