In "The Exorcist" she was possessed by the devil - in "Savage Streets" Linda Blair shows what she's really made of!
As rebellious high school student Brenda, she is one of the problem cases at Principal Underwood's (John Vernon) school: Her father is dead, her sister (Linnea Quigley) is deaf and mute and her mother is always working double shifts, Brenda genuinely cares for her family and neglects her school work. When she clashes with the leader of a gang (Robert Dryer) and exposes him in front of his henchmen, he seeks revenge and has her sister brutally raped. When he also kills one of her friends, the situation escalates. Armed with a heavy crossbow, she hunts down the gang and looks as seductive as her arrows are deadly...
"Savage Streets" - naked violence reigns on LA's streets.
Now a cult film of the 1980s, Linda Blair impresses as a tough avenging angel in one of her best roles. A rough rape'n'revenge contribution for fans of tough exploitation movies.
