Written and directed by Vernon Zimmerman, this is a slasher which focuses on the darker side of fandom and obsession whilst smartly entwinning a very black, surreal sense of humour. Filled with film references and a very early role for Mickey Rourke, Fade to Black has the spirit of Scream mixed with the tone of Psycho and the beating heart of 80s slasher films.
