Director Jess Franco’s unusual interpretation of the Oscar Wilde-inspired tale stars his longtime collaborator Lina Romay (Rolls Royce Baby) as the mysterious aristocrat Doriana Gray. Living a decadent life of indulgence and excess, Doriana shares a strange and supernatural bond with her twin sister, experiencing each other’s sensations in unexpected ways.

When a young reporter arrives to investigate the enigmatic Doriana, the encounter begins to unravel the sisters’ unsettling connection.

Filled with surreal imagery, atmospheric music, and supporting performances from Monica Swinn and other familiar Franco collaborators, DORIANA GRAY stands as one of the more distinctive entries in Franco’s prolific 1970s filmography. The film was produced by Swiss exploitation producer Erwin C. Dietrich.
