With her feature film debut, Norwegian director and screenwriter Emilie Blichfeldt presents a furious take on the classic Cinderella story, which, under the guise of tongue-in-cheek body horror, explores timelessly relevant questions about body image and the perception of beauty. Newcomer Lea Myren shines as Elvira in her first film role, alongside Thea Sofie Loch Næss (The Last Kingdom), who plays her pretty stepsister Agnes. Ane Dahl Torp (The Wave) takes on the role of the mother.
