Widow Warriors | 虎膽女兒紅 (1990)
When the worlds of triad wives and sisters are violently shattered after the sudden gangland killings of their husbands, fathers and brothers, they form a plan to take back control within the triad underworld and make the people who ripped their family apart pay for their crimes. With an all-star, woman-led cast that includes the likes of Tien Niu (CITY WAR), Michiko Nishiwaki (MY LUCKY STARS), Kara Hui (THE 8 DIAGRAM POLE FIGHTER) and Winnie Lau (FUTURE COPS) among many more, and hard-hitting direction from one of the godfathers of the Hong Kong Heroic Bloodshed genre, Johnny Wang Lung-Wei (CITY WARRIORS)… WIDOW WARRIORS is a girls-with-guns gem that is not to be missed!
