A young man (Giancarlo Giannini, Swept Away) returns to the seaside mansion where, as a child, he witnessed his father commit a violent crime. Troubled by fragmented memories of disturbing rituals and a tragic death, he begins to question both his own sanity and the loyalty of those around him.

The directorial debut of acclaimed screenwriter Ernesto Gastaldi (The Horrible Dr Hichcock, Torso), this atmospheric gothic thriller is an early example of the giallo tradition, based on a story by Gastaldi’s wife and muse Mara Maryl, who also stars.
