Come Blow the Horn! Sweden's most famous sensual film!

The country girl Monika has found an old Viking horn. When you blow it, women inexplicably become overwhelmed with desire. This causes trouble on the farm where she lives, not least for the prudish, visiting missionary couple. Everyone becomes romantically entangled with everyone else. All filmed in the idyllic rural village of Skattungbyn in Dalarna, Sweden.

Director Joseph W. Sarno (1921–2010) is recognized as one of the true geniuses of exploitation cinema and has been celebrated with retrospectives at prestigious film festivals around the world. Sarno made more than 125 films, including about fifteen in Sweden, beginning in 1967. His black-and-white films of the 1960s earned him the nickname "The Ingmar Bergman of 42nd Street" for their distinctive lighting, long takes, and often melancholic themes.

Sarno and his wife, muse, and longtime creative partner Peggy fell in love with Sweden. They maintained an apartment in a Stockholm suburb and returned every summer. Experience the film that shocked, amused, and became part of Sweden's cultural DNA.

Newly restored in 4K from the surviving 35mm print.
