BUTCHERS - REST IN PIECES is a near-perfect nod to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE , but more than an homage: Adrian Langley's horror film is more of a playful approach to the classic. Naturally, extremely attractive young protagonists in a remote area once again fall into the hands of butchers. These Watson brothers are sadistic, textbook rednecks who are extremely happy about any prey in the form of fresh teenage meat. They may be dull, but at least they torture everything that falls into their clutches without exception. For example, genitals are treated with an electric shocker and women are tied up. And as befits such a degenerate brood in the best WRONG TURN style, a disfigured, bloodthirsty brother is also along for the ride. He's just waiting to be set free. A merciless hunt begins, one that Leatherface would really enjoy.
