Mondo Macabro presents BOHACHI BUSHIDO: CODE OF THE FORGOTTEN EIGHT in 4K UHD – available for the first time on 4K UHD in a brand-new restoration.

In this striking entry from 1970s Japanese cinema, legendary actor Tetsuro Tanba stars as Shiro, a master swordsman known as “The Assassin.” Disillusioned with the rigid codes of the samurai world, he attempts to leave his past behind during a chaotic battle and is rescued by the Bohachi clan, an outlaw group that has rejected traditional values entirely. As he becomes entangled in their operations, Shiro begins to question their ruthless philosophy, leading to a dramatic confrontation set against a snow-covered landscape.

Directed by Teruo Ishii, BOHACHI BUSHIDO is a visually bold and stylized action drama, blending surreal imagery, heightened performances, and dynamic swordplay. Mondo Macabro presents the film in a brand-new exclusive 4K restoration with a selection of archival and newly produced extras.
