Liz, Kristy and Ben go on an unforgettable road trip through the Australian Outback. The first highlight is the Wolf Creek meteorite crater. Then, in the middle of nowhere, their car dies. Luckily, old hunter Mick Taylor shows up at night offering help - he takes them to his isolated farm. But the knight in shining armor turns out to be a sadistic monster with a passion for torture. While Taylor sharpens his knife, the young tourists start their fight for survival...
With his blood-soaked and polarizing debut film, writer and director Greg McLean delivered a mixture of realistic horror and psychological terror, building the foundation for theatrical sequels and a TV series. Backwoods terror shows its new face, and WOLF CREEK created a new franchise.
Director Greg McLean on the new 4K master: Its a delight to see such a crisp, clear and vibrantly coloured copy of the film. So much of this films atmosphere and suspense comes from the detailed and eerie light and shadow captured by our cinematographer, and the stunning, unique colours of the Australian Outback. All of which were on full display in this excellent presentation.
UHD world premiere + remastered Blu-ray - in a limited 2-Disc Mediabook edition.
