The Italian horror director Lucio Fulci has recently been plagued by disturbing and horrific daydreams in which he mixes real experiences with memories of the most brutally violent scenes in his own films . They rob him of sleep and make him doubt his mental health. So Fulci decides to visit the psychiatrist Prof. Egon Schwarz and ask him for help as soon as possible. But he has his own plans for the confused director. He tries to hypnotize him in order to pin the blame on him for some perverse murders that he himself committed.
