Their intertwined journeys are bound by an unending quest to find and ride perfect waves.

First-time filmmaker, Jeremy Rumas' HANGS UPON NOTHING, is as much a celebration of surfing as it is a stunningly beautiful exploration of mystical cultures where modern technology and millennia of history intersect. Shot entirely on 16mm film using a mechanical spring-wound Bolex, over the course of seven years, and featuring an ethereal original score by Rumas' band, Velo Sun, HANGS UPON NOTHING is a sensory journey of finding freedom in barreling waves.

Commentary track with director Jeremy Rumas

"About Nothing" - Making Of featurette

"Surf Celluloid" - Technical featurette

Multiple trailers

Extensive stills gallery

Director(s): Jeremy Rumas

Starring: Mikala Jones, Daniel Jones, Timmy Turner, Chuck Corbett, Darmayasa Bleronk, Darmaputra Tonjo

Release Year: 2016

Runtime: 91 min

Aspect Ratio(s): 1.66:1

Language(s): ENG- English

Sound: Mono

Subtitles: English SDH

Format: Blu-ray/DVD

Disc Info: Region Free Blu-ray/DVD

Genre: Documentary

SKU: EP-004

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0709/5740/0348/files/s-l1200_d061ff4f-7ad8-43ef-a601-80bca14c7073.jpg?v=1792774567
